" Mukha na tayong Australiyano ."remarked one young pastor with a tone of slight disgust as he watched the Hillsong UNITED video flashed the screen. " Mas gusto ko pa rin si Doen Moen..." Truly, with all  stagelights and the looks of the band,a traditional Christian would sweeply generalize it as "worldly". And Indeed, Don Moen is angelic, more radiant and gentle looking as well as his heavenly songs.

Nonetheless, we who witnessed the  rise of Darlene Zschech. the Hillsong Ministry  know that they are not just a bunch of jamming, partying dudes,but a group of spirit-filled deeply rooted Christians who engage their culture.Because of their passion to win the lost at all cost, this Christian band won millions of souls for Christ through their music.

Though we are in the world, the Bible makes it clear that we are not to be of the world. Yet God has placed us here so we can engage our culture and become a positive influence to those around us.The sad tendencies with some Pinoy Christians  is that they want to "act "like the Hillsong United without paying the same price of Prayer, Loving God's Word and Accountability with  their Leaders. I remember what Darlene Czech   said in one of the videos" It's not talent, in the end it will not sustain you...its your relationship with Christ !"

There is truly nothing more satisfying than knowing we can influence the society we live in without compromising on our standard of holiness. As culture continues to progress with the times, likewise, Christians should also move forward. Otherwise we will become fearful and end up incapable of relating to, impacting and transforming society for the glory of Christ.

However, when Christians reach a place where holiness is the standard, and yet remain relevant to the culture we live in, we become the salt and light of the world. ememberthat salt to be effective must be rubbed,much more must sta yconnected. we know that Gretare is He whois in us , thanH ethat is intehworld.

Daniel and Joseph are clear examples of young people who rose in the"worldly" system through the Spirit of Excellence. Yet. they never compromise their faith and purity. Because of  their dedication and skills, they pleased their earthly bosses and got promoted. We know that God is raising modern Daniels and Josephs who will not "defile" themselves despite studying anti-Christian philosophies or being exposed to unbelieving professors or employers. God is positioning  us favorably in  these last days to spread God's Word. This will only happen if we are faithful in keeping our devotion to God and not allow the world to mold us .

Let's keep FAITH & PURITY to reach our DESTINY !
